Boyzie Beaulieu Estate art exhibition

Boyzielamb art exhibitionThe Mayfair Arts Club is featuring the work of a new young artist, Boyzielamb, which is on display in the club’s Dining Room until November 7, 2009.

‘The Beach House’ is a new series of paintings inspired by the home and surroundings of Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, in particular his beach house on the coastal shores of the New Forest, designed in 1957 by Sir Hugh Casson.

The architecture and interior design of the 50s, American –style summer house on the Solent, overlooking the Isle of Wight, is the setting for a project which has been a year in the making.  The result is a collection of intimate and romantically painted ‘snapshots’ of weekends at Beaulieu, incorporating oil on canvas and reflective new works behind Perspex.

Boyzielamb works in painting, performance and installation, and currently studies at the Cass in Whitechapel.  Before coming to fine art, Boyzielamb was a child actor in Cape Town and later performed with the circus.  In the UK, he has performed in theatre, musicals and been a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.  This is his first solo exhibition in London.
